The Initiation to the adventures of Misty and Sasha
Before moving to Prince Edward Island permanently, my husband and I would occasionally take our July vacation there to visit family. On one such vacation, we visited the Mic Mac Indian village and ended up in one of their stores. While in the store, my husband spotted a pure white Arctic fox that had been stuffed and mounted on a log. He wanted that dead mounted creature so bad that he had it sent back home to us by air freight.
Sometimes, when undertaking a new project, it’s difficult to know where to start.
Almost a lifetime ago, I used to sketch and paint. When it was clear to me that I would never do it again, I gave away all my books and art supplies to someone who really could use them.

They say that laughter is the best medicine. I know that to be true, however, there are times in life that self control would be wiser. We all know that it is considered improper and disrespectful to laugh out loud in church.
It’s safe to say that I may never be an architect, an engineer, or a lawyer, but I do have smarts in other areas of life, thank God. I was going to include a surgeon on that list, but I have watched so many surgeries on television that I think I can do some of them.
Several years ago, on voting day, our electoral station was in St. Bernard’s Catholic school in a Montreal suburb. The waiting line was long and tedious. With nothing better to do, I was gawking around at the school’s notice board that hung on the wall. It had posted up-coming events and had numerous drawings by very young children displayed for all to see. It wasn’t what I would call entertaining, but out of boredom, I read every notice of parent and teacher meetings, every notice of up-coming sports events and I stared at every photo of groups of children.
