On Wednesday, December 28th, 2011, I had a rather odd experience. For some reason, I had been unable to sleep a full night because of a painful knee. I could no longer bear to be in bed, so I got up and tried to walk the pain off. When that failed to give me any relief, I broke down and took some Ibuprophen to obtain relief. I sat in the parlor and turned the television on to wait for the medication to take effect.

When we first moved to Prince Edward Island, my niece asked me if I had ever heard the coyotes howl. I told her that I hadn’t. For some reason, I totally forgot about that question for over a year.

As I mentioned in one of my previous stories about Nikka, she loved to watch Animal Planet on television and from watching it, she learned to roar like a bear.
I hadn’t been to the circus in many years. For some reason, I was beside myself with excitement. I honestly couldn’t remember ever having been this excited about anything in my entire life. Every fiber of my being twitched with excitement and my heart raced in anxious anticipation. The rest of the audience seemed to feel as excited as I was.
