Sometimes it is difficult, sometimes it is confusing, sometimes life can also be hilarious. Instead of wallowing in the tribulations of life, I say laugh whenever you get a chance. Laugh until your cheeks hurt and your ribs are aching. Well, that’s my motto anyway. I love to laugh.

Read the rest of this entry »My upbringing as a child was very strict.We were a family of ten children. We were told that children should be seen, but not heard. For some reason, none of us ever dared to question authority. From an early age, we all had our chores to do. When mom told us to do something, by God, we jumped to attention, whether, or not, it was a convenient moment for us. We always did what we were told to do.

I have avoided credit cards after having been in trouble with them so many years ago. Since I am no longer able to run around the stores like I used to do, I needed to be able to shop on-line. Now, I can do just that. I have to say, I do like the convenience of having a credit card.

Read the rest of this entry »What makes one child out of a family of ten children become an introvert? Well, I was that one child who was a serious introvert. Maybe it was because in our family, we were constantly being reminded that children should be seen, but not heard. Maybe it was because I had two serious speech impediments. All I know is that I was constantly being ridiculed because of my lisping and stuttering.
Read the rest of this entry »When I was nineteen, I lived at home with my parents. I had just started working a new job. I was exhausted one night so I went to bed early. Somewhere around one in the morning, I heard a shot gun blast and saw the blinding flash. To my amazement, I found myself in a wooded area that I was not familiar with. There were three or four men running frantically around in the darkness. I didn’t know who they were. I followed the men who stopped near a motionless body that lay on the ground.
Back in 1963, about a month after my twentieth birthday, there was a plane crash. TCA flight 831 crashed about twenty miles north of Montreal, in the St. Therese de Blainville area, at 18:33 hours. I lived with my family about thirty miles from the crash site, and had been in a dead sleep at the time.
