Synopsis:     This story is about the lives of  Harriette Boisie and Adele Hanson whom Harriette called mother. Harriette suffered mental and physical abuse at the hands of her caretakers. She was different from the rest of her many siblings. She had a mind of her own. Harriette and her siblings were removed from their home because the authorities deemed their parents were unfit to raise their children. ‘Hanson House’ was a farm owned and run by Adele Hanson and her own two children. In her community, Adele was believed to be a God-fearing woman with a heart of gold. Adele ran her farm like a tight ship. She controlled the children through fear and ridicule. What the social workers saw when they visited the home was a well run, meticulously clean home. All the children seemed polite and happy. No one ever suspected the abuse, atrocities and dark secrets that ‘Hanson House’ harbored.

A MULTITUDE OF ONE – HARRIETTE’S JOURNEY

Synopsis:     Harriette’s Journey follows Harriett’s wild life once she left ‘Hanson House’. From Adele Hanson, Harriette learned how to manipulate people to her advantage. To some, Harriette was suffering from mental illness; to others, she was just plain evil.

TRILOGY – FORCE OF AN ANGEL (book one of three)

Synopsis:     Angelica Menon was born in Ping Wah, an island south of Australia. Her father was East Indian and her mother was Eurasian. When Angelica was six years old and her sister barely two, her parents separated. Angelica and her sister were sent to live with their maternal grandmother in a slum called ‘Half-breed Village’ by the local inhabitants and ‘The Sewer’ by outsiders. Their sparsely furnished shack mirrored the dwellings of the other inhabitants. ‘Half-breed Village’ was home to the unwanted, the diseased and disabled, the extreme poor, those of mixed blood, all of society’s scorned. At the age of twelve, Angelica’s grandmother sold her into prostitution. Those who had been banished to ‘Half-breed Village’, seldom ever escaped. Knowing this, Angelica vowed that one day she would take her sister and leave this place forever. First, she had to find her father. She believed that if he knew where they were, he would rescue them. She used her profession as a means to escape. Before leaving Ping Wah for good, Angelica embarked on a very dangerous and harrowing mission to destroy the uncle who had banished them to that hell-hole. It was an endeavor that nearly cost her her life.

ANGEL’S DESTINY (book two of three)

Synopsis:    Angelica left her tortured past and her birthplace, the Island of Ping Wah.The flight to California was long and tedious. During the flight, Angelica allowed herself to dream of happiness and security. However, her dreams were shattered when she learned that her mother was not an innocent victim of her brother-in-law’s deranged  plan. Angelica’s Uncle Paul had been driven mad by his lust for power and money. Angelica was shocked to learn that her mother was a willing participant in Paul’s scheme. Angelica eventually finds her father, but the joy of the reunion is overshadowed by the knowledge that his life is in danger. During her time as a prostitute in Ping Wah, Angelica met a young handsome movie director who saved her life once and now in California, she met him again. Little did she know he would now change her life forever.

EYES OF DECEIT (book three of three)

Synopsis:    Angelica’s married life to John Dufour seemed almost perfect, until he brought his mentally ill son Jay to live with them. Fearing the rest of the family would not understand, Angelica and John concocted a plan to deceive everyone by saying that his aged father who was dying, would be staying with them in the upper west wing of their home. He told their children they were forbidden to go into the west wing so as not to disturb his father. The nurse who was assigned to care for Jay was an overbearing middle-aged woman whose cold steel-grey eyes and abrupt demeanor put everyone ill at ease. Though the children had been forbidden to go up to the west wing of the house, they took advantage one day when their parents were away and decided to enter the forbidden territory. The discovery of the truth cost them their innocence and nearly cost them their very lives.
