GOBLIN OR ELF

I don’t get to go out very often, so when my friend invited me to go and visit her, I jumped at the opportunity. I can’t recall exactly what the occasion was.

When the evening was done, my friends decided to drive me home. I sat in the front passenger seat. It was a dark cold winter night. When my friend turned his headlights on, they shone brightly across the skimpy bit of snow that was left.

In the brightness of the headlights, I saw a creature about ten inches tall run from the tree line towards their house. It was so close to the car. It looked humanoid to me and appeared to be wearing a pointy hat. If I could imagine it full size, I would have to say that it looked like an adult male running. When I mentioned the incident to my sister, she said that it was probably a rat. All I can say about that is that I have never seen a rat run like a man on two legs and for sure, even though it was a really cold winter night, I have never seen, nor heard of a rat wearing any kind of a hat…  pointy, or otherwise.

It ran so fast that I only saw it for approximately three seconds. What a cool experience that was. I told my friends about it at the time. I was quite shocked that they all believed in such things. I have to say, I was never sure that these creatures really exist, but I have always kept an open mind about it. Now, I know for certain that they do exist.

So have you found out a name for these creatures yet? Maybe you should create their name yourself..maybe a “Melfin”..

“It ran so fast that the hounds couldn’t catch it,
From down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico”
It ran through the briars and it ran through the brambles
It ran through places that a rabbit couldn’t go

I don’t know why that song came to mind, lol. I personally have never seen such creatures, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. Interesting account.
