Sometimes in life things happen that one cannot understand at the moment, but it is accepted and stored on the back burner of the brain only to come to the foreground at some later date in the form of an epiphany. It is that precise moment when the past not understood event suddenly makes sense.

 

That’s the way it was for a fourteen year old girl who had led a very sheltered life. The girl, whom we will call Cat for now, grew up in a home with several siblings where paranormal events were routine and accepted (but not understood by Cat at the time).

 

Cat’s mother had never hidden the fact that there were “other” worldly things that happen. Cat’s mother was what is known as a sensitive. She had the ability of precognition at times and at other times she was capable of remote viewing… seeing events unfold as they happened in a area away from view of her naked eye. Cat’s mother accepted her gifts, but was first to admit that she had no control over what came to her.

 

Cat assumed that her mother was gifted because her grandmother was a psychic and a medium. Cat never knew her grandmother, but she loved listening to stories about her from her mother. Cat’s only treasured item from her grandmother is a hat pin. From the time Cat was about seven years old, she was aware on some level that she, too, was a sensitive, although she didn’t fully understand it at the time. Cat saw her first apparition when she was only seven years old. In a room with all of her siblings present, Cat saw a young woman holding a baby on a few separate occasions. None of her siblings saw what she had seen. All of Cat’s siblings were sensitives too, but not all to the same degree as Cat was.

 

One day, one of Cat’s brothers who was ten years old at the time, was in a fight with an older boy. Cat’s brother was severely disadvantaged by the older and stronger boy. He took a terrible beating and as a result, he had to go to the hospital to be checked out. Cat’s brother had a blood disorder that caused him to bleed internally when injured.

 

Since the fight happened right when Cat’s mother was making supper and there were several little kids at home, Cat offered to take her brother to the hospital to be checked.

While at the hospital, her brother was taken into an examining room while Cat sat outside the room in the hallway. Across from the examining room where her brother was, was another room with the lights on and the door ajar.

 

Idle curiosity caused Cat to peer into the adjacent room. There was a baby’s crib with a rather unusual being in the crib. The being was staring at Cat just as Cat was staring back. Cat watched the being for a good fifteen minutes before a nurse walked by and closed the door tight. Cat didn’t know what it was that she had seen. The small diapered being, part humanoid and part “other” looked to be about the size of a six-year-old. What puzzled Cat was the over-sized head on the being as well as the unusual eyes. The eyes were enormous ovals that were slanted up at the outer corners. The eyes were dark …almost black. They had irises and pupils and whites, but they didn’t look like human eyes. The pupils weren’t round like human eyes, they were elliptical vertical slits. In proportion to the size of the head and eyes, the other features were very small. The being had very black hair that made the skin look a pale grayish white.

 

Once her brother was checked by the doctor, they were given the okay to return home with instructions to put ice packs on his facial swellings. Cat and her brother arrived home just as the family was finishing up their supper.

 

Cat explained everything to her mother about what the doctor had said. Once everything was back to normal, Cat told her mother about the being she had seen at the hospital.

 

Cat’s mother calmly explained that some births produced grotesque abnormalities. She said that there is a special wing of some hospitals that were designed to take care of these people. She also explained that most of these abnormal people were kept shut away for their entire lives to spare them from the hurtful comments of people who don’t understand their deformities. Cat accepted her mother’s reasoning and in time put the vision of that pathetic being out of her mind.

 

From time to time over the many years that followed, the image of that being would pop into Cat’s mind. She believed what her mother had told her, but there was something about that being that just didn’t sit right in Cat’s mind. She didn’t know why she had been privileged to see this being. Normally, Cat’s mother would have taken her brother to the hospital, or her older sister would have taken him, but that didn’t happen. It was Cat who offered to do it. It was Cat who had the privilege of seeing this unusual being.

 

Many years have passed and Cat is now a mature woman. She had often heard the expression that when a person is ready to receive the lesson, the teachers will appear.

 

Cat’s fascination with spirits of the dead and all other things paranormal has steadily grown over the years. She has read many accounts of paranormal events and watched every documentary on television and on the internet that she could in order to better understand the “other” side of life. Recently there was a program on television on the History channel called “Intruders”. This program interviewed numerous people who believe they have been abducted by aliens several times over their lifetime. It was an interesting account by numerous people whose lives have become complicated and forever changed by their experiences.

 

At one point in the interviews, some people said that when they were abducted by the aliens, they were shown hybrid children and told that they were the parent of that baby. It was a story that Cat had heard over and over again throughout the years. This time, there were sketches of the babies by some of the abductees. Cat was astounded to see that some of the sketches very closely resembled the being she had seen in the hospital so many years earlier. Cat understood. It all made sense now. Until that moment, thinking that the peculiar being could be an alien hybrid was the farthest thing from Cat’s mind.

 

This is a true story. I am, Cat. C-A-T are the initials of my given names in reverse.

 

Recently there have been so many UFO sightings by the masses. Many people have come forward to discuss events that they were afraid to talk about in the past. Why now? What is going on in the universe these days that has the scientific world in a spin? Why now, at this time are various governments declassifying UFO documents? Why is the History channel doing all these documentaries on ancient aliens? The scientific community believes that there are aliens among us now. Even the Catholic Church has declared that we may not be alone in this universe. Why now? Could it be that we are being somewhat prepared for the year 2012 when scientists believe that some great cataclysmic event will happen that will be so enormous that it will change life as we know it? I honestly don’t know the answer to that question, but it does make me wonder.
